Scapellato, Wallace and Roberts for Freeholder
Issues
As your Responsible Freeholders Phyllis, Larry and Dan will work hard to improve County government because they understand government works for you, not the other way around.

Phyllis Scapellato, Larry Wallace and Dan Roberts promise to Restore Integrity and Efficiency to Government - Gloucester County's government should be one that all citizens are proud of. They will work hard to ensure that all decisions are made on behalf of the people, not the politicians.

Phyllis Scapellato, Larry Wallace and Dan Roberts believe that government should tax less and spend less, a simple idea that most elected officials forget once they become politicians.

Phyllis, Larry and Dan believe the freeholder board answers to the citizens, not the other way around. As such, they pledge to stop the runaway spending and borrowing by the current freeholder board because a 66% increase in spending over five years is totally unacceptable.

Phyllis Scapellato, Larry Wallace and Dan Roberts understand how hard it can be for families to make ends meet. That's why they are serious about holding the line on property taxes. They will use their collective elective, business and life experiences to cut waste and keep the cost of government down.

Phyllis Scapellato, Larry Wallace and Dan Roberts promise to make county government transparent. Too often it appears government is operating in secret, and sometimes it is true. Take for example the current freeholder board and the changes they made to the Board of Elections. A judge forced them to re-do the changes because they made them in secret, behind closed doors the first time. Phyllis, Larry and Dan will push for a county version of the "Transparency in Government Act." This is a bill in Trenton that Stephen Sweeney, as a State Senator, voted to hold up and keep from becoming law. The bill makes it easy for any taxpayer to log onto a website, perform a search and see where every dime of taxpayer money is spent. Phyllis, Larry and Dan pledge to bring something similar, along with televised freeholder meetings, to county government so every resident of Gloucester County can see exactly what their government does.
